I. Project Profile
Project Name: Agricultural University Multifunctional Power Meter Project Case Study
Industry: Public Construction
Project Procurement Related Equipment: Three-phase multifunctional power meter, other third-party intelligent devices
II. Project Overview
Project Description:
Henan Agricultural University Longzihu Campus (New Campus) Longzihu University Town is a key component of the Zhengdong New District, located south of the Jialu River and north of Dongfeng Canal and Jinshui East Road. The new campuses of Henan Agricultural University and 13 other universities are located in a circular pattern along Longzihu Lake. The new campus is located west of the East Fourth Ring Road, north of Jicheng Road, south of Wenyuan North Road, and east of the Longzihu Inner Ring Road, enjoying a prime location and convenient transportation. The new campus covers a total land area of 1,287,847.1 square meters, with a construction area of 1,046,298.1 square meters. The total designed building area is over 700,000 square meters, and the total investment is approximately 2 billion yuan. After the completion and operation of the 200,000-square-meter library in the first phase of the project, it will accommodate nearly 10,000 students for normal teaching, daily life, and sports activities.

Compere has signed a contract to provide the power distribution project for the sports training hall and auditorium at the Longzihu Campus of Agricultural University, supplying the KPM10 three-phase multifunctional power meter. Designed with advanced microprocessor and digital signal processing technology, it integrates comprehensive three-phase power measurement, display, energy accumulation, fault alarm, digital input, relay output, and communication network. It offers excellent cost-effectiveness, easy installation, and strong anti-interference capabilities.
Characteristics Of Electricity Usage In The Education Sector
1. Most equipment uses single-phase power (lighting, air conditioning, entertainment appliances, etc.), which can easily lead to three-phase imbalances.
2. Electricity consumption is relatively unstable, with significant fluctuations in power load within months and quarters. Air conditioning is particularly important in schools during the summer, when it is the primary consumer of electricity.
3. Reactive power demand is high, as schools and hospitals most commonly use fluorescent lamps, computers, projectors, and printers (inductive loads), which are numerous.
4. Schools, hospitals, and research institutions often have a large number of precision instruments, requiring high power supply stability and maintaining backup power supplies.
Electricity Issues In The Education Sector
1. The power supply and distribution network is complex, making monitoring, uploading, organizing, and analyzing electricity usage data for each office area cumbersome. This typically requires multiple engineers to regularly review, organize, and analyze data daily, wasting manpower and resources.
2. Traditional analog meters can only monitor one or a few electrical parameters. They are no longer sufficient for multi-parameter display and networking.
