Installation, Use and Maintenance Of Prepaid Water Meter

1. The water meter diameter should be selected according to the diameter of the public pipeline and the flow rate required by the user.
2. The water meter must be installed on a straight section of the pipeline. The length of the straight section between the valve before the meter and the water meter is important. It is recommended that the valve be opened to its maximum during use.
3. The water meter should be installed in a location that avoids exposure to sunlight, flooding,
4. freezing, and pollution, and is easy to install, disassemble, and read. Rain and freeze protection measures should be taken during the rainy season and winter.
5. Before installation, the pipes should be cleaned to remove construction mud, sand and other debris to prevent water meter malfunction.
6. A valve should be installed in front of the water meter to cut off the main water supply when the water meter is being maintained.
7. The water meter should be installed horizontally, with the dial facing upwards, and the arrow on the meter casing must point in the same direction as the water flow.
8. If the water meter is installed at the boiler inlet pipe, hot water backflow should be prevented to scald the water meter.
9. The water meter should be installed as far away as possible from sources of strong magnetic or
